NEON HERO
Every Good Story Needs a Side Cast
Darius Goode was often described as a do-er. Rarely was he one to sit down, to be silent, to do nothing in the face of difficulties or adversity. He knew that Las Luces was a cesspool of crime, and he knew that if he wanted to even attempt to clean up the streets, he couldn't do it as Darius. With his incredible talent for coding, engineering, and using experimental technology, Darius created a pack that could create four large wings using artificial nanoparticles. This wing pack allowed him to fly above the city skyline as Dragonfly.
Selling some non-important patents for designs allowed Darius and his daughter Olivia to keep a roof above their head and food on the table, allowing Darius to be a father by day and hero by night. For nearly two decades, Darius dedicated himself to keeping his city - and precious daughter - safe.
Until he died.
It was a house fire, Darius did his best to rescue everyone inside, inhaling a fatal amount of smoke.
But Darius wasn't about to let this stop him. His physical body may be gone, but Darius knew that one day, his occupation would kill him. And as such, he created a failsafe; an AI duplicate of him, stored within his main computer for future use. Upon activation, this Darius AI encouraged Olivia to take on the mantle. And, now that she has, he offers fatherly advice whenever he can.

Reporter Louise Holly + Cameraman Raymond Holly
Louise Holly is a reporter for a relatively small and local news station within the city. Her skill for researching topics and reporting on said topics is unmatched by anyone in her field, and she approaches her job with a rabid fervor that is unparalleled. She is also, quite possibly, the most vocal hater of Dragonfly. A majority of her stories revolve around painting the Neon Hero within the worst light possible, and while others - such as Clay, Hayday, or other villains - are not exempt from this, Dragonfly is her prime target. The only reason the station deals with this is due to the quality of her other stories. Not far away is her husband, Raymond Holly. He is the complete opposite of his spitfire of a wife; calm, soft spoken, and is often her rock, her grounding presence, and her camera man. Raymond is used to the way his wife is, and is often the one to tell her to slow down and to settle down. He is a master with the camera, although he rarely is seen by one.
As a very small child, Louise's younger brother went missing. To this day, his disappearance has never been solved. Olivia's father, the previous Dragonfly, tried his very best to solve this case, to no avail. Louise set the blame entirely and fully onto Dragonfly, both old and current, and sees all superheroes as doing more harm than good.
